Your health is the most important asset you have. More important than your house, your car and yes, even your kid’s activities shouldn’t come before your health.

I can make this statement not only based on what I read but I can confidently state this after being in practice for 12 years. After having seen thousands of patients it becomes more and more clear to me that your health is the foundation of all that you do. Whether it’s driving your kids to soccer, being a teacher in the classroom, going on a mission trip or even having the energy to prepare meals, health is the foundation.

Health is also something that requires the law of seed time and harvest. In Canada, most commonly, people neglect their health until they feel bad. The problem is that poor health exists long before people ever feel it. Cancer kills more people in Canada than any other disease yet you normally don’t even feel it until it’s too late. Cavities aren’t felt until the tooth is really decayed and damaged. That’s why we brush, floss and get dental check ups. This is to keep our teeth healthy forever.

The same should apply with the way you look after the rest of your body.

Proper mindset and belief so that your life is full of purpose and joy.

When we focus on health in a proactive way we will be able to live very well into our old age. Most Canadians spend the last 10 years of life full of degenerative disease and on multiple medications. Do something good for yourself today and everyday so that you have a full vibrant life until your last day.
